Morning blog post

I've got some older friends (i'm 13, they are 14/15) who have invited me to a party on Saturday night at someone's house. I'm pretty sure everyone there will be drinking. I've never had alcohol before. I'm going to tell my parents i'm staying the night at my friend's. I feel quite nervous, cos I know it's  bad. What should I do?

The fact that you think it's bad is a good thing, your having doubts about drinking at such a young age so you definitely shouldn't. I understand that everyone else will be and it would look and seem weird being the only one who's not drinking but at such a young age so many more things can go wrong. Your 13 not 16, being at parties is not common at this age anyway, drinking is not common or cool at all. At this age we should be kids, playing outside, doing sport, drinking is a privilege when your an adult and because your not an adult you don't have the right yet. Lying to your parents isn't the best way to go with things also, maybe if you get your parents to understand that you want to go to a party and connivence them your not going to drink because at 13 you shouldn't. It's harder growing up in this generation with the amount of temptations but screwing up now could cost you a lot more in the future.
